Korean supernatural dramas take viewers to places beyond their wildest dreams. These dramas spin intricate storylines that keep viewers on the edge of their seats, taking them from ancient lands inhabited by magical animals to contemporary metropolises where common people surprisingly acquire incredible abilities. These programmes evoke a sense of wonder and escapism in viewers through exploring fantasy elements alongside relatable human emotions and difficulties.

Premiered last Saturday, The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch is keeping us on the edge of our seats with its thrilling storytelling, till now we have been enjoying our favourite counters trying to compete against the "Level 3" evil spirits who also have powers of the Chinese counters. Now, So-mun and his group must work hard to fight against not only the evil spirits but also their own people.

Goblin (2016)

Goblin or Guardian: The Lonely and Great God centres around Kim Shin, a goblin cursed with immortality. Kim Shin's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Ji Eun-tak, a joyful high school girl with the ability to sense ghosts. The only person who can free the Goblin from his immortality is Eun-tak, who has a special destiny as the Goblin's bride. As their paths cross, they form a profound bond and a romantic relationship blossoms. In addition, the series explores the lives of other supernatural characters including Sunny, the proprietor of a chicken restaurant, and Wang Yeo, a grim reaper.

The Uncanny Counter (2020-present)

Based on the Daum webtoon Amazing Rumour by Jang Yi, The Uncanny Counter centres on a group of Counters, people with extraordinary abilities who got their abilities from good spirits in Yung (heaven). They seek out escaped evil spirits while posing as noodle restaurant owners to defend the defenseless. So Mun is a high school student who turns into a counter and learns about his unusual past and his own powers as a result. So Moon fights off strong spirits with his team while juggling his personal life.

Hotel del Luna (2019)

The Hotel del Luna (formerly "Guest House of the Moon") is unlike any other hotel. The hotel, which is supernatural, can only be found by humans in certain circumstances and is not visible in its real form during the day. All of the organisation's employees and clients are ghosts who are trying to resolve unresolved issues from their previous lifetimes before entering the afterlife and the cycle of reincarnation; the staff, in particular, has been there for decades or centuries since they haven't let go of their grudges. One exception to this rule is the hotel's general manager, who has been replaced by a succession of human "passersby" since they occasionally need to connect with the outside world, such as to pay bills or meet requests from spirits made to still-living family members or friends. This hotel is located in Seoul's Myeong-dong and is owned by Jang Man-wol (Lee Ji-eun). The hotel that serves the dead has been tied to her soul as a result of a significant sin committed more than a millennium ago. Instigated by the goddess Mago (Seo Yi-sook), Jang Man-wol visits Go Chan-sung's father (Oh Ji-ho) and strike a deal: in return for his life, his son will serve her 20 years later.

The father sends Go Chan-sung (Yeo Jin-goo) abroad in an effort to save his son. The young man matures into a genuine, level-headed perfectionist with a tender heart. He returns to South Korea 21 years after his father's passing to work as an assistant manager for a multinational hotel organisation, but he runs into Jang Man-wol first. As a result, he ends up fulfilling the terms of the deal and taking over as manager of the Hotel del Luna.

My Roommate is a Gumiho (2021)

Based on a popular webtoon, My Roommate is a Gumiho follows the story of Shin Woo-yeo (Jang Ki-yong), a male Gumiho (nine-tailed fox, a creature from Korean folklore), who has been alive for over a century and longs to become human. After a chance encounter with a female college student named Lee Dam (Lee Hye-ri ), Woo-yeo's fox bead is accidentally swallowed by her, leading them to live together and work towards a solution to his problem.

A Korean Odyssey (2017)

The story follows their journey as they uncover secrets from the past and face various challenges together, including encounters with other mythical creatures and forces.

Tomorrow (2022)
