The Town of Vienna and nearby Oakton are collectively known throughout the area as diverse, historic locations with great dining and shopping options that are the loving creations of local residents. Historic Church Street in the Town of Vienna is a must visit for the shops and restaurants, and it also plays host to a variety of annual Vienna community events from autumn's Oktoberfest to the Viva! Vienna! Festival on Memorial Day weekend.

Just outside the Town of Vienna is Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts - a natural setting for over 100 summer performances across all genres. Another popular nearby destination is Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, found just up the road from Wolf Trap. Both are an easy drive from the heart of Vienna and a lovely part of the overall visitor experience to this area of Fairfax County
