EMMETT, Idaho (CBS2) — Idaho State Police (ISP) are investigating a fatal crash on Highway 16 south of Emmett that occurred Tuesday morning around 10:45 a.m.

ISP reported a 36-year-old man driving south on Highway 16 crossed over the center line and struck an oncoming commercial vehicle head-on. The driver died of his injuries at the scene. The commercial vehicle driver was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

ISP reports the 36-year-old man was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the ISP.
